  2. Winter Olympic Games 2014 The XXII Olympic Winter Games — an international sporting event, which was from 7 to 23 February in 2014, in Sochi. The capital Olympiad was chosen in Guatemala in 4th of Jine in 2007. In Russia, the Olympic Games were for the second time. Before that in Moscow were the summer Olympic Games in t980. There were Winter Paralympic Games after the Olympic Games.

  4. Opening ceremony The opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games took place on the 7th of February in 2014 at the stadium Fisht in Sochi. The President of Russia V.Putin opened the ceremony. According to tradition was the parade of Nations, which opened Greece and completed by the representatives of the host team — The Rissian Federation. The Olympic fire was lighted at the end of the ceremony.

  7. Olympic Results 88 countries took part in the Olympiad. Our team took the first place and won 33 medals: 13 gold medals. 11 silver medals and 9 bronse medals. The second place - Norway. The third place - Canada. In Paralympic Russia won 80 medals: 30 gold, 28 silver and 22 bronze. The second place - Germany. The third place — Canada.

  8. Сlosing ceremony The closing ceremony of the Olympic Games took place at the stadium Fisht in Sochi and continued 2.5 hours. There were carried flags of all countries and then appeared 2856 athletes representing 88 countries.
