OJJDP Draft Program Plan --OJJDP’s Vision and Mission* Vision:OJJDP strives to be the recognized authority and national leader dedicated to the future, safety and well-being of children and youth in, or at risk of entering, the juvenile justice system. Mission:OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and victimization by supporting states, tribal jurisdictions, and communities in their efforts to develop and implement effective coordinated prevention and intervention programs and improve the juvenile justice system so that it protects public safety, holds offenders accountable, and provides treatment and rehabilitation services tailored to the needs of juveniles and their families. *Source: OJJDPFY11 Program Plan
