Helping municipalities to use Structural Funds for energy projects Ceske Budejovice, 7-10.12.2004 www.pnec.org.pl Financing of the Community Support Framework 2004 - 2006 The share of funds • public - from structural funds – 8 275,8 mln euro - from national public funds assigned to development activities, i.e. state budget, self governments budgets and others – 3 136,1 mln euro • private - assistance for enterprises will be in conformity with competition rules, particularly state aid provisions will be applicable – 2 361,2 mln euro Source: Ministry of Economy

Helping municipalities to use Structural Funds for energy projects Ceske Budejovice, 7-10.12.2004 www.pnec.org.pl PNEC activities - Possibilities to support energy projects IROP, Measure 2.6 Regional Innovation Strategies and Transfer of Knowledge In November 2004 The Association of Municipalities Polish Network “Energie-Cites” has submitted an application to Malopolskie Marshal’s Office Topic: Renewable Energy – Transfer of Knowledge and Technologies for Regional Innovation Strategies Partners: Polish Association of the Employers of Renewable Energy, Sector and Environmental Protection; AGHin Cracow Main activities:preparing database connected with renewable energy, a manual(1 000 copies) for the private sector interested in renewables, organising 22 training sessions (1day each)in the whole Malopolskie Voivodeship, 10 probations (6 months each) for graduates and teachers from academies in Malopolskie Voivodeship in private companies

Helping municipalities to use Structural Funds for energy projects Ceske Budejovice, 7-10.12.2004 The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management www.nfosigw.gov.pl Air protection from contamination through the prevention and reduction of pollution emissions and conservation of raw materials and energy Within the program subsidising will be provided for projects aimed at: www.pnec.org.pl • reduction of pollution emissions from large fuel incineration sources, • conservation of raw materials and energy, • improvement of fuel quality and engine technology applied in transportation, • upgrade of heating-plant systems, • usage of alternative and environment friendly energy sources, • Protection from ionizing radiation , • utilisation of waste in incineration process, • reduction of volatile organic compound and odour emissions.
