Instructor Details Weaknesses Windows: I simply don’t like it and I avoid deploying windows at all costs. (though sometimes I have no choice ;( Non-technical: “Legal Stuff” Processes and Procedures especially bureaucratic ones Note if you have a question in an area that I’m not an expert in, I will do my best to find you the CORRECT answers to your questions if I don’t have them already.
What about each of you • Yes It’s that time where you all have to say a few words about yourself • Name • What you do (if you can/want to tell) • What your strengths and weaknesses in security are • Why are you taking this class?
Security+ Exam • 100 Questions • 90 Minutes • Multiple choice (4) with 1 correct answer • Passing Score = 750 Practice exam http://practicetests.paladingrp.com
This Class • The Security+ exam about security concepts, NOT a hacking exam. Not a hands on exam, or an exam that requires knowledge of specific OS’es or products. As such this class is mainly lecture. I have added a few hands on examples just so you can see how some concepts are applied. • You SHOULD read the material before class for the best learning experience • You SHOULD be prepared to ask questions about areas you don’t understand • You SHOULD participate in the class. Answer questions etc to get the most out of this class! • To make this class more interesting. I like it to be interactive as far as class participation etc.
