2. The TAGs Command training guidance states clearly that all units will have a Family Readiness Groups. So that is a given, now we (Your family Programs staff and unit command team ) need to make it happen, and make sure it is properly manned, by volunteers like you afforded proper training and support. This guidance is for the Command I only mention it to showcase for you the attention the FRG is getting from State Command. For Our discussion today we will set our focus on The FRG Scorecard and Draft Circular 600-12
the FRG Scorecard signed, by the Chief of Staff again shows the level of Soldier and Family Readiness from the top. The scorecard is exactly that, with specific criteria set as a measure of standard the FRG is rated red.amber or green. This document is on the DMNA website and updated monthly to reflect the progression of our unit FRGs.
This Circular is in Draft form now and we anticipate it to be published in the near future. The TAGs Command training guidance states clearly that all units will have a Family Readiness Groups. 4. I am well aware from trainings and other meeting with commanders they want to be certain there is proper family readiness. I cannot stress enough the importance of having your appointed MPOC trained in Family Readiness, you the volunteers especially leads should have the opportunity to be a conduit of someof the training that will help the MPOC . The right MPOC is as crucial as the statutory volunteers.
