What has Occurred So Far • Geothermal Testing • Archeological Study • Environmental Studies – Phase I & II • Geotechnical Services • Soil borings start in December 2010. • Geotechnical Company will be onsite for approximately a week with their equipment. • Soil samples help determine the bearing capacity of the soil for the new building. • All soil borings will be back-filled onsite by Geotech Company. • Program of Requirements • Design team, CCS, and schools have reconciled the program for the project. • Basic massing studies of the building. • Site Analysis.
Project Parameters • New 6-12 School for 250 students. • 100 Middle School Students • 150 High School Students • Room Types: • Classrooms (Academic, Science, Computer, Wood Shop) • Cafeteria and Kitchen • Stage • Gymnasium • Media Center • Vocal & Instrumental Rooms • Art Rooms • Administration Offices • 72,549 gross square feet. • $13.5 million construction budget.
