Involvement • To kick of the start of school each year, the Springdale Chamber of Commerce hosts two receptions (one for K-5th and one 6th-12th) in which local businesses provide breakfast, set up booths, hand out goodies, and donate items that value $100 dollars or more to be given away to teachers. • More than eighty Springdale businesses participate in the partnership in education program. • The SSD has employed both Spanish and Marshallese translators and liaisons in effort to further develop relationships between the school and home. • The school also hosts Family Nights, Multicultural Nights, and teacher invite community speaker into the schools on a regular basis.
