Poem Quick, Take The Picture. By: Owen Klein Quick, take the picture of me,For I am dead and will not be here long.Don't miss the odd angle of my leg. That was from the roadside blastI heard the sound before I died,And from somewhere, voices from the past.My father offering a Sunday ride;My mother wished to buy some apples,My sister said "You're sitting on my side." Do you have the picture yet?It is all that you will get, for I am dead. They will bury me in my home townWith old friends aroundNot talking of the war,But of pictures that they have of me-Straight legged youth,There, by my father's car,Waiting for a Sunday drive.
