Background • Porn material whether acceptable or not, is existing around us. • According to my own experiences in Indonesia, legally all kinds of porn materials are prohibited, but I am a little shocked whenever I saw the reality in Japan, totally different. Here I can see, that kinds of porn materials are lots, and sometimes displayed in public areas. • Based on that thinking, I want to know about “what is actually Japanese people think about porn materials” • From this little research, I hope we can understand one different aspect that lies in Japanese daily lives

17. Main Discussion For the last question, I have asked them to write the reason whether they choose Yes or No answer. Some Reasons for Yes answer: • Most of people answer based on considering of the children. They said porn material are giving bad influence for children. So it will be better if there are specialized shop so children don’t have any access to porn materials. • But there is another opinion too, which is by providing special shop, adult can be more comfortable for consuming porn material. Because the present situation, sometimes he/she feels shame for consuming porn material.

18. Main Discussion Some Reasons for No answer: • It doesn’t need to provide specialized shop, because the present condition is good enough. • If there is specialized shop, it will be hard to get porn material, because it feel strange. Beside reasons like above, there is another reasons from different view, like: • Now, pornography has many different “shape” and very big quantities, so if the goal for providing specialized shop only to limitation, he/she thinks it won’t work. The best thing is by giving the proper way of sex education to the young generations so they can avoid from “bad understanding” of porn materials.

19. Conclusion • From this little research, I can say from Japanese male and female people, there are some different perspectives about porn materials. • Porn materials for almost of Japanese people are being accepted as some part of their daily lives. • Japanese people realize that they can get that kinds of material freely and easily. But for idea in providing specialized shop again we get different result for female and male people. • From the last reason that they write for answering the last question, we can see that there is awareness about the bad impact of porn materials for children, and also there is some great comment about the idea “for limiting access to get that materials.”
