Like in Pakistan, Eid ul Fitr is celebrated in other cultures throughout the world.
Sighting the Moon! People all around the world go outside to sight the moon the ushers in Eid ul Fitr.
EID HAS COME! Religious officials around Africa and the rest of the Islamic world tell the people that Eid has come!
Where do they go?! Muslim people of the world dress in their best cloths to go to the mosque to pray!
SHOPPING! In the Islamic world, women shop for new curtains, sitting room covers, cloths, and other new objects for the household before Eid ul Fitr to preparefor the celebration!
Visiting! The Muslim people visit friends and family’s houses to eat elaborate meals.
Sahran Africa celebates Eid ul Fitr in its own unique way!
HOW DID IT COME! The Umayyad’s brought Islam to Africa during the 7th and 8th centuries but was effectively spread by the Berbers, native people of Africa. This effective spread permanently left a deep impression on Africa and extended the umma.
