The 2007 Fringe Benefits Survey assessed the types and frequency of benefits Idaho employers offered their workers The 2007 survey instrument is interchangeable with Washington and Oregon Analysis was conducted by employer size, industry, and ownership An additional analysis was conducted by region, as well as a comparison of survey results to our own state benefits package (not shown here). 1,488 employers were surveyed with a 76% response rate General findings are significant at a 95% confidence level with ±2 points margin of error All findings are significant unless otherwise noted Results with < 3 respondents were suppressed to protect confidentiality Methods
Summary • Key Point: 63% of employers offer medical benefits to full-time employees, only 9% offer this benefit to part-time employees. If an employer offers single coverage medical insurance, they are very likely to also offer coverage to family members.
Summary • Key Point: An employer may offer benefits, but not every employee is eligible to receive them, and not every eligible employee enrolls in the plan.
Summary • Key Point: Employers pay a higher proportion of the premium for full-time employees. The percent that employers cover for family medical premiums is the same for full-time and part-time employees.
