Personal Life With Eleanor • On March 17, 1905, Franklin Delano Roosevelt married Eleanor, despite the fierce resistance of his mother. Soon, the couple moved to Springwood, which was his family’s estate, where Franklin’s mother visited often, much to Eleanor’s chagrin. • As for their personal lives, Franklin was a charismatic and social man. Eleanor on the other hand, was shy and disliked social life.

James Roosevelt He was a U.S Representative, officer in the US Marine Corps, aide to his father, official Secretary to the President, Democratic Party activist, and businessman. • James Roosevelt (December 23, 1907 – August 13, 1991) was the oldest son.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt Jr. (1) Lived only 7 months. • DIED IN INFANCY.
Elliott Roosevelt Enlisted in the US Army Corps in 1940. He served as a pilot and unit commander during WWII. • Elliott Roosevelt (September 23, 1910 – October 27, 1990) was an United States Army Air Forces officer and an author.
