Advance O: Survey Bar • Go to an educational website you most often • use (ex. http://www.timeforkids.com/news). • Double-click to open Survey Bar. • The Presentation Setup window will appear. • Go through the presentation set up process • (see ReadySet Achieve BeginC3.1: Normal • Presentation Setup). • Click OK. Turn on all remotes. • The Survey Bar will appear on screen. • Reposition the Survey Bar to a suitable area. • Click the pushpin on the Survey Bar to pin it • to place.
Advance O: Survey Bar, cont. • Click on the blue arrow next to the on • the toolbar. • From the drop-down menu, select Capture • Settings – Full Screen. • NOTE: Screen captures will be displayed as thumbnails in some reports. • Click on to Create/Add a New Question. • The will be green for Pose (a question).
Advance O: Survey Bar, cont. • Click on the down arrow next to . • Select a question type from the drop-down • menu. • From the Answer drop-down menu, select • the correct answer. • Verbally ask the question of the students. • Click . Students will respond via remotes. • Once all students have responded, click to • Stop the question. Responses will be saved for • report generation. • Repeat the process described until lesson is • complete. • To end session, from drop-down menu, click Exit.
Advance P: Quick Mark Grading • Within Connect, click on the Content tab. • Select an activity to present. Click . • The Presentation Setup window will appear. • Proceed through presentation options. Make • sure to select Auto Save to Results Manager . • Present the activity. Gather responses (i.e. • students can record since remotes not being • used). • Before ending the session, click and select • Export – Presentation Markup File. This will • create a file in the Results Manager. • Click Exit to end the session.
Advance P: Quick Mark Grading, cont. • Click Results tab. The new results file will be in a • folder titled Markup Files. • Click open the folder and select the activity results • file (Markup will be the last word in title). • Click on QuickMark/Regrade . • Participant List Selection window will appear. • Select the appropriate class list from the drop- • down menu.

The Paper-Based Score Entry • window with the selected class list will • appear. • Within each student row and each • question column, single-click for correct • answer and double-click for incorrect • answer. • When grid is complete, click OK. The data • will be saved as a QRX file, including date • and (military) time stamp. • Click on the QRX file and a Score Report • will appear. Click to generate reports. Click All Correct or All Incorrect to auto-complete the grid with all right (green checkmark) or all wrong answers (red X). Then click on each mark to change answer. Double-click to remove a mark to show that student skipped question.
Advance Q: Actionpoint Advance Q1: Tagging Slides as Questions • Open the PowerPointⓇ presentation. • Click on the Qwizdom Actionpoint tab. • Click on any slide of the • presentation. Select a Question Type • from the drop-down menu. • From their respective drop-down • menus, select the correct Answer, • Points value, and Timer.
