Keep Work Area Clean Handle Hazardous Materials Properly • Eliminate fire hazards
Wear Proper Clothing • Safety glasses • Proper foot wear • Ear protection • Respirator

Maintain Adequate Ventilation • Work in well ventilated areas • Use exhaust hoses • Be cautious of Carbon Monoxide (CO) • Solvents have toxic fumes
Use Hand Tools Properly • Keeps tools clean • Use tools for their designed purpose • Keep tools away from moving parts • Keep tools in proper condition
Use Power Tools Properly • Check guards and shields • Do not use if in question of operation • Never adjust while equipment is running • Know where “dead man switch” is located
Use Compressed Air Carefully • Wear safety glasses • Never clean self with compressed air • Check all connections • Point nozzles away from self & Others
Lift Properly • Bend Knees • Back straight • Get Help • Use a mechanical lifting device
Operate Engines Safely • Vent exhaust • Keep away from moving parts
Be Prepared for Emergencies • Know where shut off is located • Know how to use fire extinguisher • Know where to go in an emergency • DO NOT PANIC • Contact your instructor

Safety while working or using a lawnmower • 8. I do not recommend cutting your grass when it is wet. Because when the grass is wet the lawnmower engine will have to work twice as hard. The grass will also stop up your side discharge. The lawnmower should always be Cut off before cleaning.
Safety while working or using a lawnmower • 9. Let your small engines cool off for at least 10 min before refueling. • Note If lawnmower is running not knowing how close the blade is to the side discharge, and you • try to unplug the hole you could dismember your fingers or hand.
