Cataclysm Noun - any violent upheaval, especially one of a social or political nature. Story Sentence: “Much later, soldiers and volunteers arrived to rescue the living and try to assess the magnitude of the cataclysm.” Our Sentence – “Cataclysms caused by natural processes almost brought life on earth to an end.”
Putrefy Verb • cause to rot or decay with an offensive odor. Story Sentence: “It was calculated that beneath the mud lay more than twenty thousand human beings, putrefying in a viscous soup.” Our Sentence – “The Road kill created a putrefying smell for people walking buy.”
Tenacity Noun - The quality of displaying unstoppable determination. Story Sentence: “For years he had been a familiar figure in newscasts, reporting live at the scene of battles and catastrophes with awesome tenacity.” Our Sentence – “the football team was struggling to keep up but through sheer tenacity trailed by nine at half time.”

Ingenuity Noun - the quality of being cleverly inventive or resourceful; inventiveness Story sentence – “During those first hours Rolf Carle exhausted all the resources of his ingenuity to rescue her.” Our Sentence – “The designer had fantastic ingenuity.”

Futile Adjective - incapable of producing any result; ineffective; useless; not successful Story sentence – “I concentrated until I was dizzy – a frenzied and futile activity.” Our sentence – “His attempts to beat him at running were futile.”
