Knoon-Shee was a Chinese maiden who lived in a palace with her father. She fell in love with her fathers secretary, Chang, but her parents disagreed and wanted her to marry a wealthier man. Next
Knoon-Shee was locked up in a small house to the left on the palace. Her angry father sees them and follows them. She wrote a letter to Chang and soon he came and stole her away. Next
Knoon-she and Chang escape from her father in a Chinese ship sailing by. They landed on an island and stayed in a small wooden hut. Next
Knoon-Shee’s father tracked the lovers and burnt down the hut they were staying in while they were sleeping. So they perished. Next morning, from the ashes rose their spirits, in the forms of two doves. Next
