Look For The Lights! When I blink the lights, or counts down from 10, stop everything and listen to Mrs. Swarter.
Look at your Monitor When I count down from 3, stop everything and look at your monitor.
Rule of Three(for when you’re stuck during work time) • Re-read the directions. • Ask a friend (or friends) near you for help. • Place your folder on the monitor and wait until I can come answer your question. *** But raise your hand right away if it’s a computer problem.***
Consequences • 1st Offense • Yellow Card • 2nd Offense • Time Out and Reflection • Name on Yellow Card and given to your teacher • 3rd Offense or Unsafe behavior • Contact your parents and/or principals
Class Award • Your class can earn 1 letter per day if everyone follows all the rules. • When your class spells TECHNOLOGY everyone gets 20 minutes of game time.
Individual Award • Type without Looking is the first challenge you must complete in the Challenge Area. Then you get your choice. • When you finish a challenge hand it in. • If it is satisfactory, you will receive a pass for 20 minutes of game time (Used during non-project time only).
Other “Stuff” to know 1. PRINTING ¨ Use Print Preview before you ask me to print ¨ I must OK your project in print preview first. ¨ Every project is printed ONCE 2. SAVING ¨ Save on your P:// drive or it may be lost!
¨ Place ALL printed papers in your folder ¨ Pass all folders to the front of your row ¨ Quiet Line-up ¨ All chairs are pushed in 3. END OF CLASS 4. BATHROOM/WATER ¨ Turn the CD to OUT when you leave, then back to IN when you return ¨ ONE person at a time
5. Incomplete Work Board ¨ If you are done, check the incomplete work board. If your name isn’t there, continue typing or a challenge. 6. Internet ¨ Use bookmarked web pages or addresses I give you ¨ Searching ¨ Topic must be approved by me.
5. FIRE DRILL ¨ If we have a fire drill, quietly stand and go out the door in a single file line. ¨ The last person should close the door and turn out the lights. ¨ We go outside to the front of the building to the grass in-between the parking lots. NO TALKING.
