    5. More Terms Weld Root- area were filler metal intersects the base metal Root Pass- the initial weld pass that provides complete penetration through the thickness of the joint member

    8. T-Joints Two work pieces are positioned approximately 90° to form a T

    9. Lap & Corner Joints

    10. Weld Types Weld Type- is the cross-sectional shape of the weld after filler metal is added to the joint.
