Points of departure • Many SMEs lack an innovation process with a capacity to develop more radical ideas. • Design methodology, on condition that it is supported by management, leads to ”organisational surges” that affect the innovation climate positively. • There is an innovative power in the design process/design thinking that can be used as an alternative or complementary way of working.

  6. How can design methods and design thinking be introduced and utilized in product developing companies, with little or no prior experience with design, to enhance innovation capability? HOW?
