Current Trends • Peer to Peer file sharing • 1 in 10 files on a peer to peer networks are virus’s masquerading as music, photos, videos and software. • Kazaa, Limewire, Napster, BearShare, Gnutella, eDonkey, BitTorrent • Kids often start with simple music downloading, but quickly learn to find porn very easily. VIRUS WARNING!!!
Current Trends • Video Chatting • Very difficult to monitor / record • Know WHO your kids are chatting with • Make sure video chats are done in a PUBLIC space in your home • Consider a recording program if video chatting is allowed Popular with high school sweet hearts!!!
