  3. Writing Practice Practice exercises from the Exercise Zone offer immediate feedback. • You can see what you’ve already mastered, and what you still need to practice.

  4. Reading Activities Reading Road Trip and Writing Voyage are interesting and fun. • Reading Road Trip takes you on a road trip across the US; The Writing Voyage visits ports around the globe.

  5. Vocabulary Strengthen your skills with audio clips for words with difficult pronunciations, spelling exercises, and vocabulary flashcards!

  6. Other tools to help you succeed The Study Skills area includes tips, quizzes, and other resources that will help you get the most out of your study time. ResearchNavigator guides you through the research process and writing a paper, start to finish.

  8. Here’s what you need to get started: 1) A student access code (packaged with your new text or available for purchase online at www.myskillslab.com) Looks like: SMPLE – FRILL – TONLE – WEIRS - CHOIR - FLEES 2) A valid email address 3) Your school’s zip code

  9. MySkillsLab Student Registration • Go to: www.myskillslab.com • Click “Students” under “First-time users”

  10. Student Registration • If you already have an access code, click “Register” on the left. • You may also purchase online access by clicking “MySkillsLab” on the right.

  11. Student Registration Enter your student access code exactly as it appears (one “word” per box). Continue through the screens, ultimately creating your own personal login name and password. You will see a confirmation screen once your registration is complete!

  12. Logging in to your course • Go to: www.myskillslab.com • Click “MySkillsLab” under “Returning users.” • Simply enter the personal login name & password you created.
