3. Germany Germany is a great land. You can Live here well. Germany has 16 federal states: Baden Württemberg, Bayern, Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hessen, Mecklenburg – Vorpommern, Niedersachsen, Nordreihn Westfallen, Reihnland Pfalz, Saarland, Sachsen, Sachsen Anhalt, Schleswig Holstein andThüringen. GERMANY IS A BIG STATE WITH ABOUT 82.310.00 OF INHABITANS. Germany is a part of Europe and is next to the Netherlands, Belgian, Luxemburg, France……….. The capital of Germany is Berlin. The federal chancellor is Ms Merkel (the first female one). The currency in Germany is the Euro. From: Murat Arz

4. About Darmstadt • Darmstadt is in the middle of the federal state Hessen in Germany. Darmstadt is a town between Heidelberg and Frankfurt (which is also knows as MAINHATTEN). There are about 141.257 habitants in Darmstadt and there are 9 districts in Darmstadt. There are lots of green parks and places where you can do sport, too. Walter Hoffmann is our major. • Here some sights of Darmstadt: • - Die Mathildenhöhe Also called Marriage Tower & Fife- • Finger-Tower; You can get married there • - Das Schloss A castle but now it is a big police station • - Das Alte Rathaus The old major building • - Die Russische The Russian Chapel • - Die Stadtkirche The City Church • - Die Orangerie A big garden where you can hang out. • - Das alte Theater (Mollerbau) The old Theater • - Der Lange Ludwig It’s a tall statue in the middle of the city • - Der weiße Turm The white Tower Mathildenhöhe and Russian chapel Langer Ludwig (downtown Darmstadt) By Christina Kirchner

5. “Typically” German The German language is known as a difficult language in the whole world. Germany means ''Deutschland'' in German. The capital of Germany is Berlin. There is a lot of American food here, too. In Germany there is the Schloss Neuschwanstein, known as Cindarella Castle. It is almost one of the 7 Wonders of the world. German people are known as authentic, organized and busy. Then we also have the Octoberfest. It’s about 2 weeks at a year. There everyone wears a Dirndl and leather trousers, it gives pretzel, beer and everyone is happy. Also Germany is known for sausages, black forest cake, cuckoo clocks, schnitzel, sauerkraut, the Black Forrest and Bavaria. By Nathalie Auer

6. My daily routine I stand up at 6 o' clock in the morning. Then I have breakfast and I drink tea or milk. At 7.15 I leave the house. The way to school is very short but I go another way because I pick up my friend. Mostly I have 6 lessons so that is I have school until 1 p.m. In our school a lesson isn’t 60 minutes, it is only 45 minutes. Mondays I have school till 5.30 p.m. and Tuesdays till 3.15 p.m. When I come home from school I do my homework first and then I eat while I watch TV. From 4 o’ clock till 6 o’ clock I go to soccer training. I come home at 7 p.m. and then I take a shower. In the evening my family and I drink tea and we watch TV. At 10 p.m. I go to bed. On the weekends I have soccer matches. After the soccer match I play soccer again with my cousins. FREIZEIT (Free time) From Naim Sevincli

7. Sport acrobatics Sport acrobatics means to do gymnastic in a group as a competition match (for example in a group of three). Also you can call it floor exercises. The smallest mate climbs on the top of the other two. There are rules: you can do the sport acrobatics in a woman group of three or a man group of three and also in a woman group of two or man group of two. You must always hold your toes stretched. There are groups A and C. A is the master class and C the beginner class. There are difficult elements but also easy elements. You must be flexible. There are championships all over the world. Kids in my age (14-13 years old) can go to the championships if they are good at it. It is fun but also stressful. From Shanita Arnold

8. Handball Handball is a team sport. There are two teams who compete against each other. The goal of the match is to throw the handball in the other goal. At handball you can touch the ball only with the hands; only the goalkeeper can kick the ball with the foot. The team that has the most points at the end of the game wins. There are six field players and a goalkeeper. A regular game is twice 30 minutes. The birthday of hand ball is 29. October 1917. American handball is a total different sport than German handball. 9. Soccer The History of soccer In the history of soccer there where many soccer alike sports known in countries like Greece, Italy and England. In the year 1846 students at the Cambridge University made the first soccer rules. 1857 there was one team called FC Sheffield. That team made the first official soccer team in the world with the help of cricket players. Famous teams Here are most of the famous teams of the World: CF Real Madrid Barcelona Manchester United FC Chealsea Bayern München Ac Mailand Inter Mailand AS Rom Olymique Lyon Ajax Amsterdam Juventus Turin PSV Eindhoven Rules of soccer The international soccer field is 45-90m width and 90-120m length. Every team has 11 players on the field. The game is 90 minutes long with one break. There is one referee in the field and three referees on the outside of the field. The match begins on the centerline and it ends when the referee whistles. When one team scores a gaol then the other team has the ball and starts from the centerline. When one of the players fouls a player from the other team, the other team gets a free kick. By Baran Kilic
