  2. Workshop Objectives • The objectives are to let participants know the importance of treating faecal sludge, the treatment methods available, design and construction of the facilities and the governance and financial implication of faecal sludge management.

Training Content • Toilet technologies and on site sanitation • Design and Construction of On-site sanitation • Characteristics of faecal sludge, health impacts, and water and sanitation diseases • Dewatering of faecal sludge • Natural systems for faecal sludge treatment: • SAT • Drying • Waste stabilization ponds • Anaerobic digestion
