STEP ONE Trust God’s Plan
Trust God’s Plan • Mary offered her life body and soul to give birth to Jesus • We must offer our life body and soul to Him to give birth to His righteous character through our lives A. How did Mary show an example of faith and submission for those who would seek to be a disciple of Jesus? Luke 1:26-38
Trust God’s Plan B. What roles did the women play in the ministry of Jesus? Luke 8:1-3; Matt. 27:55,56; Mark 15:40,41 • These women had sustenance to provide for the needs of Jesus and His disciples • Women played an important role in the earliest days of the church
STEP TWO Spend time with Jesus
Time for Jesus • Mary sat at Jesus’ feet • we need to know Jesus personally by spending time with Him A. How does this story reveal how even good things can distract us from what is most important? Luke 10:38-42
Time for Jesus • The Lord changed this woman, apparently no bastion of purity and piety, into a powerful witness for Himself B. How did Jesus win the confidence of this woman and turning her into a disciple? John 4:4-30
Time for Jesus • The awakening of a desire for something better (John 4: 7-15). • The awakening of a conviction of personal need (vss. 16-20). • The call to a decision to acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah (vss. 21-26). • The stimulus to action appropriate to the decision (vss. 26-30, 39-42).
