  2. HOMEWORK • READ CHAPTERS 8 – 11 • Due in TWO Classes

BOO TIMELINE • Scout finds 2 pieces of gum in the knothole. • Scout finds 2 indian-head pennies. • Dill/Scout/Jemplay BOO RADLEY and act out the Radleyfamily. • Jem and Dill plan to give a note to Boo to go out for icecream but Atticus tells them to stop bothering Boo. • Jem and Dilltry to peakinside the Radley House but Mr. Radley freaks out and fires at them. The boys run, in whichJemloseshis pants and everyonebelieves Mr. Radleywasfiring at a « Negro ». • Jemfindshis pants mended and ready-to-wear. • Jem and Scout find a ball of gray twine and afterwardsfind 2 soap carvingsthat look likethem. • They also find chewing gum, a spelling bee medal, and an old pocket watch. • The next day, Jem and Scout find that the knothole has been filled with cement.
