Current situation at regional level • Lack of communication at three levels : between unions, with the regional office and with the HQ • No only a technical question, but also of internal policy, capacity, etc • Out of 15 member organisations, only 6 websites • Gap between cities and countryside

  3. Solidarity networks : what for? • Technical tool to facilitate communication/solidarity • Better organisation • More exchange of information and good practice, and quicker communication • Development of capacities of “offline” unions : have more “online” unions • Development of joint projects/solidarity actions within the GUF or with other GUFs

  4. First steps • Identify one person in each union • Identify communication language(s) • HQ as “relay” with other regions • Raise awareness among unions about solidarity networks • Develop technical training (i.e e-mail, conferences…) • Define topics/ideas for regional communication and define scope
