News since last time • See attached spreadsheet • Peter Clarke (Edinburgh) • Deputy computing project leader since 1st September • 0.5 FTE computing operations coordinator • Philippe Ghez (Annecy) • 0.3 FTE “webmaster” • Actually: reviewing computing web and exploring possible improvements in content, navigability, maintenance • Renato Santana (PJAS, CBPF Rio) • ~ 0.6 FTE training as GEOC

  3. Crisis areas • Areas completely unmanned in 2011 • Code and release management • User and environment support • Production management • Areas seriously under manned in 2011 • Simulation and generators framework • Software framework support • Most of above already critical in 2010

  4. Solutions? • New funding highly unlikely • Possibility to support ~1 project associate at CERN • Repeat call for additional contributions • Perhaps recent crises have better highlighted the problem?
