Growth of pacu (Piaractus mesopotamicus) in Columbus, Ohio. Environmental conditions control included: temperature, pH, and light regime fluctuations. Arrows indicate duration of water temperature cooling and short day light.
An immature necropsied pacu scanned and assessed via cross sections. An Aloka (Aloka Co., LTD) SSD-500V ultrasound with a Medi-capture USB100 video capture system with an attached camera, and 3.5 MHz convex array probe.
