  3. Purpose of this meeting • Quarterly updates and joint planning as a community • Open communication between community and the serving board • How to best address our needs as a community

  4. Goals • Launch Project • Expand Volunteer Committees • Sale of 11 Campbell Reid property • Move Friday Prayer to RRC • Move Taraweeh to RRC • Professional Qari for Taraweeh from Overseas • Spiritual Leader/Imam • Increase Youth, Sports and Social Activities • Hire Youth Coordinator

KMA Membership - Requirements • Two types of Memberships: Full Members and Associate Members • Associate Members: Fill in the form, no fees • Full Members: • Membership fee $100 per person per calendar year • Industry Canada requires re-registration this year • Bylaws need to be voted on by full members by April 15, 2014 • Deadline to become full member: March 31st, 2014

Mehmood Sheikh • Lots of Great Events at School • Hajj Workshop • Language Carnival • Showcase of Islamic Performing Arts for Sadaqa Food Bank • Art Contest • Bake Sale Fundraising for Syria

Mehmood Sheikh • Four Classrooms • Following proven model for Quranic education (similar to AlFurqan School) • Started in the middle of the year still we have 50+ kids • Anticipating Waiting lists when we restart in September, Register Early!

Youth, Sports and Social Activities • Current Programs: Boys Soccer, Adult Soccer, Women’s Yoga, Eid Formal Dinner, Ramadan Potluck, Muslimah Halaqah • Programs that were not able to get good traction: City Cleanup Drives, Monthly Halaqah, Software Dev Classes, Math tutoring • Goals: Halaqahs for Youth, Sisters and Brothers, Increased Sports Activities, Seniors Get togethers, Career Guidance, Potlucks, Community Visits, Adopt a Park, RRC Curtains for Ladies Swimming
