What is FED? • Field Emission Display is a flat-panel display which electron emitters, arranged in a grid, and controlled by “cold” cathodes to generate colored light. • A cathode is an electrode through which positive electric current flows out of a polarized electrical device.
What does FED do differently? • Wider field-of-view • Provides high image quality • Requires less power than other displays
