Findings • Evidence of craniotomy (to evacuate hematoma) • Subdural Hematoma • Subdural and subcutaneous air • Effaced right fronto-temporal sulci • Slight right to left midline shift
Discussion • Intracranial air (pneumocephalus) only seen on CT or X-ray, not MRI • Clostridium perfringens is the most common gas-producing bacteria found in brain abscesses
