Rocky is an ordinary sedimentary rock as of right now. He has transformed and changed through out his billions of years of existence. He is here to tell you about his adventures so lets begin.
How did Rocky change from a Igneous rockto a sedimentary rock? Rocky turned into a sedimentary rock by weathering and erosion. When the igneous rock, is weathered it breaks into smaller pieces. Then it transports to a place of deposition where they build up, layer on layer.
How did rocky turn from a sedimentary rock into metamorphic rock? Sedimentary rock can turn into metamorphic rock by being exposed to heat close by to a heat source or from deep burial pressures from directed pressure.
How did Rocky change from a Sedimentary Rockinto Igneous rock? Sedimentary rock turns into igneous rock by undergoing melting and then solidification. Solidifies- To make solid; make into a hard or compact mass; change from a liquid or gas to a solid form.
How did Rocky change from a igneous rock intoa metamorphic rock? Rocky was metamorphosed by heat and pressure. The mineral grains of the igneous rock move to form the well banded rocks like gneiss. Metamorphosed-to change the form or nature of; transform.
How did Rocky change from a Metamorphic rockinto igneous rock? Rocky changed by being exposed to increasing heat and pressure and can eventually melt. If this melt then solidifies, it become igneous rock. Solidifies- To make solid; change from a liquid or gas to a solid form.
How did Rocky turn from a Metamorphic rock into Sedimentary rock? Rocky turns into sedimentary rock by turning into sediment through uplift, weathering, erosion and deposition before the sediment can undergo lithification and become sedimentary rock. Lithification- the process or processes by which unconsolidated materials are converted into coherent solid rock, as by compaction or cementation.
Igneous- rocks are formed as the lava cools above ground. These are the types of rocks Metamorphic- forms when another rock is put under heavy pressure along with extremely high temperatures. Sedimentary- forms when rocks are broken into pieces then carried down by a body of water and then deposited and layered on top of each other and then the layers are pressed together slowly turning into rock.
So as you can see Rocky has had a very exiting life oh yeah and guess what…..
