The Ottoman empire spread across the Middle East, North East, and parts of Eastern Europe. • As Nationalistic ideas through Western Europe, revolts started within the Ottoman. • Britain, France, Russia each wanted a piece of the crumbling Ottoman empire. • People in the Ottoman empire threatened to break away.
