  1. Fall 2012 Applicant Pool Profile reflects current data. Final census is not until October.

Fall 2013 Admission • Sacramento State is impacted at Freshman and Transfer levels • Open to freshmen and upper division transfers only during initial filing period • Admitting on self-reported information from the application and official documents • All admission requirements must be completed by the end of Spring 2013 term • Summer may not be used to meet admission requirements • Visit csus.edu/admissions and select “I want to apply” for more information

Local Admission Area First-Time Freshmen: Applicants graduating from high schools in the following California Counties: Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, San Joaquin, Solano and Yolo Upper Division Transfers Applicants transferring with the majority of units from the following California Community Colleges: American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake, Lake Tahoe, Sacramento City, San Joaquin Delta, Sierra, Solano, Woodland and Yuba

Campus Specific Program Impaction • First must be admitted to the University • The number of students admitted to the major each semester will vary • Applicants will be ranked to determined the GPA cutoff each semester • Programs accept applications twice a year (Fall and Spring) except for Graphic Design • Departments will assist in finding alternatives, not admitted to program

Early Start Program (ESP) FTF get an “Early Start” on their preparation for college level coursework. • English Placement Test(EPT) and the Entry Level Mathematics Test (ELM) determine participation in the ESP • Students can complete the Early Start program at Sacramento State, other CSU’s or CCC’s • Students are exempt from the ESP based on the following: - Qualifying scores in ELM andEPT - International students and residents of states other than California (non- residents) - Students participating in the Educational Opportunity Program Summer Bridge Program

Early Start Program (ESP) Is intended for FTF to get an “Early Start” on their preparation for college level coursework. • March 1st The ESP Smart page goes live • June 1st Sac State campus will begin allowing students to register for ESP • June 30th Students will have to report where they will complete ESP • June 24th First ESP course begins on Sac State campus • August 2nd Deadline to start an ESP course

Associate Degree for Transfer • Must be in an approved major • Official transcript showing completion of an AA/AS-T or a verified petition for graduation with AA/AS-T from CCC • Must meet Fall 2012 admission requirements by Spring 2013 • Must meet campus program impaction criteria • Re-direct application if not selected • Must provide proof of degree completion prior to enrollment • AA/AS-T degree students will be able to complete BA/BS in no more than sixty additional units

Important Dates October 13th Future Hornet Day (Preview Day) December Last month to take SAT or ACT (Frosh) December 20th $55 application filing fee deadline January 18th SAT or ACT test score deadline February 1stOfficial transcripts showing Spring 2013 in progressincluding proof of eligibility for AA/AS-T (transfers) March 1st Admission decisions available May 1st Intent to enroll deadline May 4th Last EPT/ELM June 30th Document deadline (official transcripts, AP, AA/AS-Transfer Degree) June/July Mandatory orientation

Must Know for Counselors • First check here prior to advising students csus.edu/admissions • EPT/ELM are not required for admission but are required for enrollment –unless a student meets an exemption • Final high school transcripts must include graduation date • Upon receipt of final transcripts all admits will be validated - admission will be withdrawn if the student is found to be ineligible • Contact your Sac State rep for answers

Show Your Students the Way to Sacramento State • Admitted on self-reported information – Accuracy is Essential! • Name used on the application must match the name used to register for SAT/ACT • All communication will be by e-mail to the email address they put on their application • Application acknowledgement letter will contain their Sac State ID number • Check My Sac State to see admission decision beginning March 1, 2013 • If admitted visit csus.edu/admissionsand select “I Have Been Admitted” • Remind students to continue to check their e-mail and My Sac State “To Do List” even after being admitted
