  2. Three Gorges Dam 1. Why does Journalist Dai Ling consider the 3 Gorges Dam the most environmentally and socially destructive project in the world? The river will destroy ancient villages and since the river is flowing slowly, pollutants will be concentrated in the river, rather than flushed into the ocea. 2. What happened to Ling after he spoke out? Jailed 3. What effect will the dam have on the Yangtze River itself? Higher, polluted 4. How does the dam impact farming?
