Activities at Whirlow Hall Farm • There are lots of activities at Whirlow Hall Farm for school children of all ages. • Infant children can visit the animals, enjoy our woodland adventure and earth walk activities. • Junior school children can enjoy an informative tour of the farm, help on the farm doing hands on farming such as picking fruit; they can experience what it was like to be an evacuee to the farm in WWII; work on natural art activities and much more. • Secondary school pupils can broaden their knowledge and understanding of living and working on a farm; focusing on Whirlow Hall Farm from the farmer’s perspective; looking at animal welfare issues and so on.
Help at home doing jobs such as looking after your pets, tidying your room and so on for a small amount of money.
Take home one of the Whirlow Hall Farm envelopes. • Colour in the animals. • Put the money you receive for helping at home in your envelope and return it to school.
Then… When your school has collected all the envelopes, see if you can fill a wellie with all the money you’ve collected.
