Our river venue is New Zealand’s seldom-run RANGITIKEI River. (Class II: easy with small rapids that do not require previous skill) We fly into and out of Wellington.
And a few big ones that we cannot run, but will have to carry our gear and boats around.
We will travel about 80 miles of river in five days, camping along the shore, cooking our own meals and learning the art of canoe camping and expeditioneering.
There will be plenty of time to enjoy camp, hike, learn about the river…
…and of course, to learn how to canoe whitewater and flatwater.
Those who like to fish can attempt to catch a legendary New Zealand Trout. (5 kilo Rangitikei trout)
We will be sleeping under the beautiful Southern Hemisphere stars in a tent (provided).
