Mission October 15 2008 • Your Mission is to assess all aspects of water use in Tucson Arizona including historical trends and predictions and to propose a plan for the next 100 years.
Tucson water facts • Tucson is developing a Long Range Water Resource Plan that will help determine where water will come from in the future, how much it will cost, and what its quality will be. • Tucson has three water sources – groundwater, Colorado River water, and effluent (treated wastewater). • 44 billion gallons each year is allocated to Tucson from the Central Arizona Project • Current use is about 20 billion gallons of Colorado River water a year. • Clearwater Renewable Resource Facility.
