James Flesher – LGBT Officer I aim: • To continueplacing a real emphasis on welfare, and being available, open and supportive • To maintain the current welcoming atmosphere for LGBT students at Pembroke, but making this more obvious from the start, e.g. having a stall at Freshers Squash, and a Freshers Week LGBT event • To increase the profile of LGBT in Pembroke • To organise a greater number of / variety of events – e.g. Pembroke LGBT formal, to encourage all LGBT members to be involved if they so desire I’m a fresher studying Arabic and French, and I am standing for the position of LGBT Officer. I’m really enthusiastic about helping to make Pembroke an even better place by being on the JPC, both for LGBT students and in general.
