Wool was the preferred fabric for uniforms summer or winter It was durable although a bit warm… hmmm Each recruit was to expect at least two sets of clothing per year There are lots of places to find pieces of uniforms Try the internet or Craig’s List… Sometimes reenactors will give away worn out uniforms You can always just buy a small scrap of wool at Walmart Uniforms !
