  2. What is Eid? EID UL-FITR EID UL-ADHA Celebration Eidis an Arabic word which means: • To make it a habit to remember God

  3. What sign do we look for to mark the Eid date? Ramadan/Hajj – worship/pillars Moonsighting – sign of God

  4. Eid takes place after… • Hajj: the religious trip to Makkah Ramadan: the month of fasting

  5. What do these 2 important events have in common? Belief in One God, our Creator(Allah in arabic)

  6. Messengers including Noah, Jesus, Moses and Muhammad(Qur’an in arabic) Which people helped deliver this message?

  7. We will be asked about how we treat others and live LIFE DAY OF JUDGEMENT

  8. How many people do you think celebrate Eid? More than 1,800,000,000 (1.8 billion)

  9. What do we doon Eid day?

  10. Wear our best clothes

  11. …and maybe some mehndi What do you do on Eid? Happiness (mehndi/nice clothes), Funfair, Food, Friends and family, Greeting and meeting, gratitude, takbir, Pray in park, sadaqatulfitr

  13. Morning prayer With all the community
