Project #1-Regions of France • Work in groups of 2-3 students. • Choose a Region of France to create a report • Divide the work requirements—everyone needs to contribute to the project • Report will be presented in an oral format using visuals (example powerpoint, pictures, maps, flag, poster, and etc.) • Everyone in the group will be need to participate in the oral report • Report should be no shorter than 5 minutes and no longer than 10 minutes • DUE DATE—November 8 , 2011

  3. Project Requirements Content (45points)—Answer questions 1. Where is the region located in the world? 2. What is the capitol of the region? 3. How many people live in the region? 4. How many departments are in this region? What are the departments? 5. What is the climate of this region? 6. What are some important (historical) facts about this region? Traditions? 7. What are some special celebrations in this region? What are some special foods in this region? What are some cultural facts about this region? 8. What is something unique about this region that is different from the United States? 2. Participation (20 points)—All members must speak during the oral presentation • Everyone must participate 3. Visuals (15 points)—Use at 3 visuals (maps, flags, powerpoint, pictures, posters, and etc.) 4. Presentation (20 points)--Speak clearly and confidently • 5 to 10 minutes • Use of effective public speaking skills
