Roles of a Facilitator: Group Leader Modeling appropriate communication skills: listening; repeating and summarizing Ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for all learners Helping learners apply content to their jobs Providing complete feedback during discussions and activities Managing group involvement processes Promoting the development of action plans
Role of a Facilitator as a group member • Facilitating while a member of a group is probably the most common use of facilitation skills • You can ask questions that will redirect the group or invite in a quiet member
