Kennedy King College offers a wide variety of programs to meet your academic needs. Certain programs transfer to other institutions. Meet with a faculty or college advisor and ask about our transferable programs.

  5. Registration Process If you plan to use financial aid to pay for your classes, you MUST complete the Application for the Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The process must be complete prior to registering for class otherwise you must pay for your classes at the time of registration. Submit an admission application Submit an OFFICIAL high school transcript or GED transcript. If you have attended another college you must submit an Official College Transcript as well. Take the Placement Exam in Room W-251 Attend New Student Orientation Meet with an Advisor to register for courses Pay for your courses Obtain Student ID Purchase textbooks – Building V Pick up CTA U-Pass (AVAILABLE to full-time students only) The earlier you register for classes the better your selection.

Center for Distant Learning (CDL) We provide options available to meet your educational needs • Two types of courses • ONLINE – (WW) Blackboard • TELEWEB – (TW) Channel 20 and online • Transferable courses available • Books purchased online through eFollett • Financial Aid covers CDL Courses cdl.ccc.edu Please note: When taking CDL courses, you must log into the Blackboard system a minimum of 2 times within the first week to avoid being dropped from your course Take the CDL Assessment to see if you are ready for an online course!!!

  12. Financial Aid Process Apply Online: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov Apply Every February! After applying online, you must contact the Financial Aid Department in Room 2E67 to complete your application packet An OFFICIAL copy of your High School or GED transcript must be on file at the college.

Withdrawal & Financial Aid Date of withdrawal affects refund WTH (student withdrawal) NSW (instructor no show withdrawal) miss one of the first two class meetings ADW (instructor withdrawal) not attending class and or not making progress towards course completions ALWAYS check with a Financial Aid & Academic Advisor BEFORE dropping a course! **Please Note** If you receive a NSW at the beginning of the semester, no refund will be issued and you are responsible for the total cost of the course.

  14. Withdrawing from Class cont. Important! Important! Important! Important! You are responsible for the cost of your courses. Please be aware that withdrawing from a course once the semester has begun can cost you money!!! Pay close attention to refund deadlines. The last date for tuition refund per class is available on your the Study List (Class Schedule). $$$ Refer to current course schedule for tuition and fees.

  19. Child Care CenterRoom Z102 Kennedy-King College understands that many students have responsibilities apart from being a student. We provide excellent child care services to help meet the needs of our students. Our Child Care Center hours of operation are: Monday -Friday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
