Rules, cont. • Contact your chaperone when leaving the property • Note: cell phone reception has been poor here in the past – obtain confirmation that chaperone has received your message (if via text) • Plan to go in groups of 4, if leaving hotel property • Curfew = being in assigned room & staying in assigned room from midnight – 6 am • Example: you are not allowed to go to the vending machine after curfew
HOSA Uniform • Navy or black suit – teams in same color, preferred • White button up blouse or dress shirt • No ruffles • No cleavage • Males: solid maroon or navy tie • Males: black dress shoes • Females: skirts AT the knee, or dress pants • Females: navy or black closed toe shoes • Clean, in good condition & ironed • Polished shoes
Must Haves • HOSA pin, patch, and uniform • Money for food. Recommend $30 per day • Printed event guidelines • Several, pre-sharpened, #2 pencils • Official HOSA materials, if needed
Recommendations • Toiletries • Cooler to store food in • Boxed foods/snacks • Laptop • School work • Refillable cup: purchase (~$16)
HOSA Schedule • Arrive bus circle: 8:30 am Thurs, 4/3 • Orientation- Must attend orientation or 10 points are taken off score • General Session (Mandatory): Thur, 4/3, 9-11 pm • Competitions • Grand Awards (Mandatory): Sat, 4/5, 9-11 pm • Arrive 15 minutes, minimum, prior to orientations, competitions & meetings *Proper HOSA Uniform Required for all of the above • Curfew all nights: Midnight

Sunday, 4/6 • Chaperone hotel room check: 10:00 am • Trash picked up • Dirty towels in bathtub • Student is responsible for damages • Bus departure from hotel: 10:30 am
Activities • Chaperones will be pre-scheduled to be at Downtown Disney during meal times daily • (11 am - 3 pm & 5 pm - 9 pm) Need chaperone – Sign up (sign up sheets in are in front of room): • Magic Kingdom, Epcot (Saturday) • Outlet mall shopping (shared cab fare) • Fantasia Miniature Golf (~$12-13) • Wilderness Lodge Mickey Hunt, Nature Trails – Free

Need chaperone – Sign up (sign up sheets are in front of room): • Fort Wilderness Campfire, Marshmallow Roast, Movie, Hayride, Petting Zoo, Fishing • Disney Boardwalk: Street Performers, Food Vendors, Carnival Games • Grand Floridian/Polynesian: View Electrical Parade & Fireworks – Free • Bike Rental: Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness (~10/hour) • Game rooms: Contemporary Hotel, All Star Resorts
Activities • On site @ Coronado Springs: • Beach volleyball • Free movie at “The Dig” • Bike rentals • Gym • Gameroom
Notes • When to be ON DISNEY BUSSESreturning to hotel • Thursday ~ No event orientation: 9:00 pm • Thursday ~ Event orientation: 4:00 pm • Friday: 9:00 pm • Saturday: 6:00 pm * It has taken 2 hours, in the past, for busses to return
Notes • Thursday: meal times are tricky – be prepared • Late check-ins/rooms not ready • Most must be at orientations: 6:30/7:15 pm • Must be at General Session: 9:00-11:00 pm • Best plan: eat at hotel (or bring food to eat) upon arrival & before orientation • Allow plenty of time – restaurants at hotel are very busy on this day
