Minitab Solution Example • The following is an example of how to solve problems in Minitab • Input Data in Column C1 • Highlight column C1 by dragging the clicked mouse over the data in C1 or by clicking the gray box at the top of the data set that has C1 in it • This should turn Column C1 Black
Minitab Solution Example • Go to the Tools bar and select “Stat” • The Drop box will come down • Hold the mouse over Basic Statistics • Scroll over to Display Descriptive Statistics and click on that
Minitab Solution Example • This will bring up a new box called Display Descriptive Statistics • “C1” will be in the box on the left • Click on “C1” and click on the Select option (located at the bottom of the of the C1 box) to move “C1” into the Variables Box • Select the Statistics option to bring up the different options you can choose from to analyze the data
Minitab Solution Example • This option brings up many options to choose from • Select from this box what you want to do by checking the box beside the selection • Mean, sum, SE Mean, Range, Variance, Standard Deviation, kurtosis, etc. are some of the functions that can be done statistically
Minitab Solution Example • Click ok in the Statistics box • Click ok in the Display Descriptive Statistics box • This will give you the solutions to the input data from C1 and put them at the top of the page above the data set
