  1. The Joints and Musclesof aDog Jack

  2. The dog skeleton has about 320bones.Yes, that's nearly twice the amount of bones in the human body!

  3. JointsThe dog skeleton has three types of joints, fixed joints, mobile joints and semi-mobilejoints.The fixed joints such as the ones in the cranium are called sutures . They allow movement in all directions. Most mobile joints are in the limbs (legs). The surfaces of these joints are completely covered in cartilages and synovial fluid so they can glide over each other. Like the gliding joint in the human body. The semi-mobile joints allow limitedmovement, they are mostly in thespinal column. Like the hinge joint in the humanbody. Fixed joint Semi-mobile joint

  4. Interesting facts • It does not matter whether the dog is a tiny Chihuahua (the smallest dog) or a huge Great Dane (the biggest dog) they both have the same amount of bones, the same joints and the same types of bones. • Osteochondrosis Dissecans means two joints in one place.

  5. MusclesThe dog has two types of muscles.Thestraited muscle or the skeletal muscle makes movement of the skeleton, the skin andcertain organs possible. And the cardiac muscle, which is partly astraited muscle, only it is controlled by the nerves. The muscles of the skin in dogs is well developed. The muscles contraction allows a dog to shake itself dry after a bath.Among the head muscles though only the ears and eyelids have an important role. The other muscles in the face do not enable the dog to change or alter its expressions, like we do.

  6. Let's see what a dog can do, shall we? Oh no! It’s bath time
