RU-EU Partnership and Cooperation agreement • In force since1997 • Sub-Committee on Customs and Cross-Border Cooperation; Strategy to deal with congestion at common border: reducing number of agencies, prior notification of arrival, infrastructure development • Modernization of Russia`s transit system, 3 MEUR. + Improving cooperation with Russian counterparts and reducing time for border-crossing, 5 MEUR • Estonia-Latvia-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation program 2007-2013,objectives: Socio-economic development, common-challenges, people to people cooperation, 23 MEUR • EU strategy for Baltic sea area (EUSBSR), Priority 6, to improve cooperation in the customs and tax area, Flagship project 6.6.
