  2. COMMAND POLICY LETTER NO. 11-3 Hearing Conservation 1. Hearing loss from noise exposure is the most common health problem at Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield. 2. Good hearing is a combat multiplier. Being able to communicate effectively on the battlefield can make the difference between survival and defeat. 3. Combat the threat of noise-induced hearing loss by ensuring you always have your hearing protectors with you and remember to use them. Ensure soldiers report for annual hearing testing to monitor hearing. 4. Remember that hearing loss from noise is permanent, but preventable. ROCK OF THE MARNE
