Hello, I am Joshua Young

1. Hello, I am Joshua Young (Right here)

2. I live in Fraser and go to Fraser High School. I am a member of the school’s National Honor Society, the school marching band, jazz band and symphony band. I like books, music, and anime(Japanese animation).

3. I have been prepared to be a leader by experiences in my church youth group and my experiences as a section leader in marching band. As members of these groups I have gained experience and knowledge on what it is like to be a leader and how to lead.

4. A leadership position I hope to see myself in is as a world leader.

5. Role models that have inspiredme to lead

6. The Brain The Brain has been a strong role model in my preparation to rule the earth in many ways. His determination to take over the world and daily focus to this task has shown me that if you truly want to accomplish a task you can never give up even after constant failure at every attempt.

7. Bradley ArnoldBrad is a friend of mine and drum major of the Fraser High School marching band. He is an inspiring leader in my life. Brad is a dedicated musician and person who has taught me many things about leadership and believing in yourself. He always does his best to help guide others and support them. As a leader he has shown me that leading takes confidence in not just yourself but those around you.

8. Confucius Confucius was a historical Chinese philosopher who emphasized self-discipline and compassion. His teachings which are known well even today express the necessity of the “Golden Rule” "What you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others." He also believed that a good leader exercised self-discipline to remain humble and would treat his followers with compassion. As a leader these teachings show what I aspire to be.

9. At this point you may feel that this goal as the leader of the world or a major leader of it is much to great and that I am being absurd by using it as a leadership goal for this presentation. However, I have put a good amount of thought and effort into this presentation. As unrealistic as it seems, I am a person who believes that you should dream big. Since even if I don’t come anywhere near this goal, I tried, and it is bound to get me somewhere. “Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! 10. I plan to lead the world into a new era of technological superiority and greatness. Autopian society in which I rule peacefully with others.

11. In order to prepare myself to usher the world into this new era I will need to become much more knowledgeable of politics and the world’s history. I will also need a greater understanding of humanity and public speaking.

12. I have many strengths that will benefit me in my rise to power and creation of this new world. These include my desire to learn, willingness to innovate, abilities as a careful, and clever planner.

13. A few major weakness that I will have to overcome is my dislike of public speaking and my indecisiveness. However, I plan to overcome these by speaking to groups more and taking classes if necessary as well as putting myself in positions that require quick, decisive decisions starting small, and working my way up to more important choices.

14. Another way I plan to prepare is by reading many informative books onruling and leadership such as Machiavelli's The Prince.

15. To close, I truly do not have a clue as to what I will do in the future but, if I do find myself in the position to become the ruler of a new world order. I want you all to know that I will be prepared and properly equipped to bring us as a race into a new era, one that is greater than history has ever known.
